Ukraine will expand cooperation with USA in numerous spheres

Ukraine is grateful to the U.S. for supporting reforms implemented in the energy sphere. It was stated by President Petro Poroshenko during the joint press conference with U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

“I was pleased to hear the support for reforms in the energy sector after today’s meeting. I would like to emphasize that our bilateral relations are focused on the economic sphere, procurement of American coal, construction of nuclear waste plant, supply of nuclear fuel for Ukrainian “Energoatom” and ensuring of investors in the oil and gas sphere,” the Head of State said.

Petro Poroshenko expressed special gratitude for a “very important” cooperation in the energy sphere on the prevention of construction of the Nord Stream 2. “I am grateful to our American partners for an absolutely clear, efficient and consistent position on the prevention of this profoundly politicized project,” the President noted.
